Hi, I’m Kara, the owner and creator behind Siena Style, based in Airdrie, Alberta. I’m a mom of two young children and like many small business owners, I’m constantly balancing family life with creativity and passion.

I’ve always known I wanted to build something of my own, something that brought together style, meaning and craftsmanship. The inspiration for Siena Style came from many parts of my life: my father’s work in concrete, my husband’s Italian roots and my lifelong love of design. It felt natural to combine those influences into a collection that celebrates Italian-inspired simplicity and timeless beauty, all handmade with care.

My love for Italian art and architecture began nearly two decades ago on a trip to Italy. The textures of marble, terrazzo and terracotta completely captured me with their warmth, imperfection and effortless elegance. Those materials continue to inspire the designs I create today, crafted from concrete and Jesmonite, an eco-friendly resin that allows me to explore new techniques and textures.

The name Siena Style carries deep personal meaning. It’s inspired by the breathtaking city of Siena, Italy, known for its rich history, artistry and soul; and by my daughter, Siena, whose creativity and light remind me every day to find beauty in the little things.
